our sustainability journey

Sustainability is a journey and there is always further to go. This truth keeps us motivated to push further and make meaningful progress. Analysing every part of our business, we have continuously sought ways to lower our impact.

We’re proud members of Repak, ensuring all plastic, wood, cardboard and food waste produced by our business is properly disposed of. We are also actively working to reduce our energy consumption and carbon footprint.

At donnelly fresh farms we were one of the first large scale growers to fully embrace the use of cover crops in our farm productions. Cover crops are a modern farming technique, providing ground cover to capture soil nutrients and improve soil quality. It’s a natural solution that reduces the need for artificial soil treatments.

We’re also a member of the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan, enabling us to play our part in protecting the natural biodiversity of our local area.
