I look after the recruitment process in donnelly fresh. This encompasses the sourcing, interviewing and induction of new starters, helping them to settle in. My job allows me to create a welcoming onboarding for new employees to ensure that they feel part of the team and quickly become effective in the role.

Working in a food production company involves working in a team, which can lead to building close bonds with colleagues and learning from others. donnelly fresh has offered me flexibility in the role and multiple training opportunities to grow professionally.

I joined donnelly fresh foods just over a year ago now. Taking a role in food manufacturing was a big change for me, coming from a background in hospitality. I find my job very diverse; every day is different, and the NPD team is always busy with different challenges. I really enjoy the balance my role brings, some days I’m in the kitchen creating new recipes, the next I’m at my desk liaising with customers and suppliers and another day I could be out and about in the marketplace. I feel my skills and experience have really expanded in the short time I’ve been with donnelly fresh foods and I’m excited to learn more.

No day has been the same since I started with donnelly fresh. Working across many teams, my role has allowed me to extend my experience across many different responsibilities and interact with multiple teams within the business and various people in the fresh food industry. From my Category and Insights role gaining a greater understanding of our customers and building relationships with our key retailers, to managing the development of the donnelly fresh brand, strengthening our presence and identity within the Irish and International markets, my role has given me the opportunity to be a key member of the donnelly fresh team, helping to build a strong future for the business.
